It's more in the line of the other interests icons. Just because you have something listed as an interest, doesn't mean you support or like it. For example with the people listing rape as an interest. In the case of this icon, the idea is that just because you read or write about something, say incest, doesn't mean you practice that in real life. Reading twincest won't make you more likely to smex it up with your brother. Reading Agatha Christie won't make you more likely to poison someone's tea.

out of all the icons Ive seen here, the first one I like the best- its short, simple, to the point, unpretentious, and doesnt try to make a too much of a political statement...
